If you're trying to install your Photoshop plugin by double-clicking the `.ccx` file, but nothing happens or Adobe Creative Cloud doesn't open, here's an alternative installation method.
Normally, double-clicking a `.ccx` file should automatically launch Adobe Creative Cloud and start the installation. However, on some computers, this process fails due to incorrect file associations, missing permissions, or issues with Adobe's plugin installation service.
This doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the plugin itself. The issue is usually related to how Adobe Creative Cloud handles the installation on your computer.
If the standard installation isn't working, you can try using the free Anastasiy's Extension Manager.
1. Close Photoshop completely.
2. Download the free Anastasiy's Extension Manager (https://install.anastasiy.com/).
3. Install and open Extension Manager. Grant the necessary permissions when prompted.
4. Select Photoshop from the application list on the left.
5. Drag and drop your original `.ccx` plugin file into Extension Manager.
6. Follow the installation prompts. Usually, it only takes a few clicks.
7. Restart Photoshop and find your plugin under the Plugins menu.
Extension Manager provides an alternative installation process that avoids issues with the standard `.ccx` file opening procedure. This workaround has successfully helped other users experiencing similar problems.
If your plugin still doesn't appear, please contact our support team with your operating system, Photoshop version, and any error messages. We'll be happy to help.
P.s. Some users on Windows had issues with the Anastasiy's Extension Manager and suggested to use the following one: https://aescripts.com/learn/post/zxp-installer
P.p.s. If nothing of above works on Windows, paste the extracted folder to: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2026\Plug-ins\PE-BW2026-PRO_3.0.3 (this is the name of your extracted folder so it may be different).
